These valances are not lined or backed, they do not block complete sunlight. Machine washable. These decorative valances are perfect for themed events, special occasions, or everyday window decor. Great communication with seller. I was so surprised I received all 11 window treatments in three days delivered to my home. All custom made and very impressed with the quality. So satisfied I have decided to order more window treatments, a table runner and a tablecloth. I also plan on ordering curtains for my dining room and living room in the very near future. Thank you so much for offering custom curtains at a price that is affordable. I want to mention one more thing. I had the curtains lined so they would not fade to quickly from the sun and so that when you look at the window from outside the pattern isn’t noticeable.
